Cookies and local storage

The consent register

To be able to demonstrate that we obtained valid consent, an obligation under GDPR, we keep a pseudonymised register of cookie decisions. For this purpose, a random pseudonymous identifier is generated in the localStorage of your browser (e.g. usr_xxxxxxxx); it does not identify you directly and is created on the basis of our legitimate interest in demonstrating compliance.

When you accept or reject analytics cookies, we record the following in our database:

• The pseudonymous identifier described above.
• The anonymised IP address (the final IPv4 octet, or the last 80 bits of an IPv6 address, are removed before storage).
• The browser type (user agent).
• The decision taken (accepted / rejected) and the date and time it was recorded.

Retention period: consent register records are kept for a maximum of 3 years, after which they are deleted automatically on a schedule. The identifier in localStorage stays on your device until you delete it manually from your browser.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy periodically to reflect legislative or operational changes. The version in force, together with the date it was last updated, is always available on this page.
